32 Online Programs, 11 Online Panels, 1 Treasure Hunt
at the 29th Arizona International Film Festival,
April 14-25, 2021.
99 films from 20 countries will be screened to a worldwide audience through our online platforms and outdoor screenings.
Outdoor screenings will take place sites at the Mercado Annex on the westside, Hotel Congress Plaza downtown, and the Main Gate Plaza by the University of Arizona. Covid safety protocols will be observed at outdoor sites.
The Festival opens with an under-the-stars premiere of the Arizona-made film, DUSTWUN, at the Mercado Annex Festival Grounds on Wednesday, April 14 at 7:30 pm.
Also outdoor screenings of Music films (April 15), Arizona-made films (April 19), and Border films (April 20) at the Mercado Annex, and a special program of works by filmmakers with past Tucson connections at the Hotel Congress Plaza (April 21).

An exciting series of FREE online panels will be available.

To complement the outdoor screening of Lust For Gold, a Treasure Hunt will take place on Sunday, April 18 from 11 am to 4 pm at the Mercado District. The event is FREE and open to the public.

All-Access Festival Pass ($60) can only be purchased in-person only at the Mercado Annex Box Office at the entrance of the Festival Grounds, April 14th and 15th from 6 PM - 10 PM

DUSTWUN is our AzIFF Opening Night Film!

DUSTWUN is the story of an unusual friendship between an undocumented migrant lost from her group traveling toward the US and a troubled American Veteran building his own "wall" out of trash in the desert.
Filmmaker Genevieve Anderson will be in attendance.
Panel discussion on ZOOM and Facebook on Thursday on April 15 at 3 pm.
